About the Role: This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop or advance their career in procurement. While previous buying experience is highly advantageous, it is not essential. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel and other IT systems. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Procurement: Lead and manage the procurement of goods and services to deliver a competitive supply chain. Develop and oversee both strategic and operational procurement objectives to support commercial and operational goals. Team Leadership: Manage the procurement team and department, ensuring efficiency and alignment with company objectives. Provide mentorship and support to ensure team development and effectiveness. Supplier Management: Select suppliers, issue inquiries, and evaluate quotations for materials, equipment, and subcontractors. Process Management: Monitor and evaluate the supply chain to maintain compliance with internal systems, processes, and health & safety requirements. Prepare material and goods schedules based on drawings and specifications. Report on pricing variations, supplier performance, and delivery targets. Key Requirements: Advanced proficiency in Excel.
