- Yard Operatives to join a temporary works specialist based in
Chryston, North Lanarkshire .
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous yard, warehouse, forklift, or outdoor work experience looking for a temporary role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
The role is predominantly outdoors and involves loading and unloading equipment, preparing stock for delivery, cleaning equipment, and maintaining a safe and organised yard environment.
Forklift experience is preferred, but full training will be provided.
What We Offer
- Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm.
- Temporary 2-3 month contract.

Key Responsibilities
- Clean equipment using a high-pressure jet washer and small tools, including ratchet guns and angle grinders.
- Load products onto lorries using picking lists and authorised documentation.
- Stack products accurately to ensure correct stock is prepared for delivery.
- Unload, segregate, and identify incoming hire and non-hire equipment.
- Record returned hire equipment and goods received from suppliers.
- Maintain accurate stock and equipment records.
- Follow all depot Health & Safety requirements.
- Ensure loading, unloading, and movement of stock are carried out safely and securely.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe yard environment.
Requirements
- Previous yard experience is preferred.
- Warehouse, forklift, outdoor, or similar practical experience will also be considered.
- Comfortable working outdoors throughout the day in all weather conditions.
- FLT licence is preferred but not essential , as training will be provided.
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow picking lists and documentation.
- Reliable, hardworking, and safety-conscious approach.
