The Role
As a Precision Machining Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of machining and associated production processes to manufacture high-quality precision components.
Key Duties
- Mount and machine precision components.
- Clean and finish completed work.
- Inspect and check components to ensure they meet required standards.
- Read and work from engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Follow established production processes and quality procedures.
- Maintain high standards of Health & Safety and COSHH compliance.
- Support other associated production activities as required.
Requirements
Previous experience within a machining or precision engineering environment would be advantageous, although full training may be available for the right candidate. Ideally, you will have:
- A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Engineering or a similar discipline.
- Some practical engineering or machining experience.
- The ability to read and follow engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
- A positive, reliable and flexible approach to work.
