Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Freelance Setting Out Engineer to join a busy commercial construction project in Exeter.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a live site with a well-established contractor and a strong pipeline of ongoing projects. The role is expected to run for a minimum of three months, with potential for extension.

Key Duties
- Carry out setting out for groundworks, foundations and structural elements.
- Interpret drawings and site plans accurately.
- Conduct surveys and checks to ensure works are delivered to specification.
- Provide technical support to site teams and subcontractors.
- Maintain QA records and as-built information.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer on commercial construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of site surveying and construction methods.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Valid CSCS card.
- Own setting out kit/equipment, including total station, GPS, etc.
- Immediate availability preferred.
