Automation Electrical Maintenance Technician Shotton £54,500 – £60,000 per annum + annual bonus and quarterly 4 on 4 off with 5 x 18 day breaks per year In this role, you will be integral to our client’s team, providing specialist engineering support to manufacturing production lines. The Automation Technician will respond to plant breakdowns, diagnosing faults to ensure the line is running again as soon as possible. Your duties will also include carrying out design, software modifications, and improvements to the plant equipment while adhering to onsite software management systems. What you will need: * Qualifications: Time served apprenticeship and educated to HNC level or above in an Electrical/Electronic/Instrumentation discipline. * Experience: A minimum of significant experience working in a similar role or manufacturing environment. * Key Skills: * Experience with Allen Bradley Control/Compact Logix OR Siemens S7 PLC’s is essential. * AC or DC Invertor drives, fault finding, commissioning, and programming. * Instrumentation knowledge, maintaining and fault finding control loops. * Some SCADA and HMI development experience. * Good knowledge of health and safety. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work on own initiative. * Some knowledge of Hydraulic & Pneumatic systems.
