Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is working in partnership with a well-established and growing business to recruit a Finance Assistant.
Joining a friendly and supportive finance team, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the organisation.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong transactional finance experience who enjoys variety, accuracy and being part of a collaborative team environment.
The role offers a predominantly remote working arrangement; however, the successful candidate must be able to travel to the Crewe office at short notice when required. Therefore, applicants should be based within a commutable distance of Crewe, Cheshire.
You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring processes run smoothly, deadlines are met and financial records are maintained accurately.

Key Responsibilities
-
Process purchase invoices and reconcile supplier statements.
-
Manage the sales ledger, raise invoices and allocate payments.

Conduct credit control and maintain positive customer relationships.

Perform bank reconciliations and support month-end processes.

Prepare payment runs.
-
Assist with accruals and prepayments.
-
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.

Assist the Director with reporting and ad hoc finance tasks.
About You
-
Previous experience in a Finance Assistant or Accounts Assistant role.

Strong knowledge of purchase and sales ledger processes.

Confident carrying out reconciliations.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Well organised, with the ability to manage and prioritise workloads effectively.

AAT qualified or currently studying towards AAT - desirable but not essential.
