Are you a Purchasing Professional looking for your next challenge and adventure? This is an opportunity to join our team on a 12-18 month maternity cover contract, with potential to become permanent. Acopia Group are a successful and well-established family run business supplying approximately 12,000 SKU’s of packaging and consumable items (GNFR) to a broad selection of industrial and retail customers. The business is currently looking to recruit a proactive Supply Chain Co-ordinator for their Bognor Regis HQ. The successful candidate will be detailed, persistent, and ideally have some experience with product compliance and specification conformity.
This role is perfect for someone who loves working as part of a busy team and has a passion for negotiation and meeting deadlines.
The Role
- Bring a creative and hungry approach to the purchasing role
- Manage your own categories and suppliers and meet relevant KPI’s
- Use our AGR forecasting system to plan and generate PO’s and ensure all background data is kept correct to ensure accurate predictions
- Place purchase orders, including:
- Working with suppliers to obtain quotes
- Negotiating to obtain best price; best quality; acceptable lead time
- Resourcing new suppliers for existing and new product lines
- Consolidation of PO’s to drive efficiency
- Meet OOS KPI below 3%
- Resolve purchasing challenges and invoice queries
- Work with Operations Team to resolve booking in discrepancies
- Set up new suppliers on ERP
- Variant set-up and management, including COSHH
- Arrange international imports and all associated documentation
- Manage artwork and bespoke product approvals
- Protect the Acopia Brand
- Look for own-branding opportunities
- Other duties from time-to-time, including cover for other team members
