Aconda designs and manufactures specialist industrial carriers, sold worldwide through a network of distributors. Following our move into a new, purpose-built facility, we’ve significantly increased capacity and are seeing strong international demand. The opportunity now is to turn that demand into structured, consistent, high-quality sales performance across our global network. We are also proud recipients of the King’s Award for Innovation, reflecting the strength of our product and engineering capability.
The Role: This is a hands-on, high-impact role with real ownership. You’ll take responsibility for improving the performance of our international dealer network, strengthening key relationships, and introducing greater structure and commercial discipline across how we operate globally. Working directly with the Managing Director, you’ll have the autonomy to shape how the network develops and how international sales is built as the business grows.

- Introduce more structured forecasting, target setting, and performance tracking
- Support dealers to improve capability, while holding them accountable for results
- Apply commercial pressure where required, without damaging long-term relationships
- New Dealer Identification (Secondary)
- Identify and appoint high-quality distributors in selected new markets
- Strengthen coverage in regions with clear growth potential
- Commercial Discipline & Structure
- Improve visibility of pipeline, activity, and performance across the network
- Contribute to pricing, margin, and deal quality decisions
- Act as the central commercial link between dealers and the business
- Building the Sales Function
- Establish processes and ways of working that can scale as the business grows
- Contribute to the future development of an international sales team over time
What Success Looks Like (First 12 Months):
- Measurable improvement in performance across existing dealers
- Clear visibility of forecasts, pipeline, and activity
- Greater consistency and professionalism in how dealers operate
- Stronger engagement and accountability across the network
- Targeted addition of high-quality new dealers where needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience
- Proven track record in international sales within machinery, capital equipment, or engineered products
- Strong experience working through distributor/dealer networks
- Background in export-led businesses
- Commercial Capability
- Comfortable owning dealer performance, targets, and forecasts
- Able to balance support and challenge —developing partners while driving results
- Understands margins, pricing, and deal quality
- Technical Understanding
- Able to confidently sell engineered products
- Comfortable with technical concepts and industry-relevant measurements
- Personal Approach
- Hands-on and self-sufficient
- Comfortable operating without a large existing structure
- Able to build relationships across multiple levels

We operate through a dealer-led model and expect high standards from our partners. Internally, we value people who take ownership, use their judgement, and are comfortable being hands-on. If you’re someone who enjoys building relationships, improving performance, and bringing structure to growth, you’ll fit well here.
Is This Role Right for You? This role will suit someone who has worked in an export-led engineering or capital equipment business and is ready to step into a position with greater ownership, influence, and long-term opportunity.
