Acolad UK is an international language services company, providing transcription and minute‐taking services for meetings, events and conferences around the world and across a range of sectors. Our freelancers work remotely and are able to choose how much work they take on, so this role is well suited to those looking for flexible hours and remote working opportunities.
Our writers are responsible for producing transcripts and summary documents for a range of high-profile clients. Successful candidates will have excellent writing and editing skills. They will also have outstanding research skills and the ability to manage their own workload to meet challenging deadlines. Experience of writing professionally or in an academic setting is desirable, and a good typing speed is also advantageous.
Suitable candidates will be sent a short writing test to complete in their own time. The writing test will allow candidates to see what a typical assignment is like, and allow us to ascertain their writing abilities and suitability for the role.
Requirements
- Legally entitled to live and work in the UK
- You are a graduate
- Have a UK bank account to receive payment via direct debit
- Have a Windows 11 laptop
- Have paid antivirus software on the laptop
- Proof of all the above will be required during the onboarding process
- If successful, you will need to provide a screenshot of your credit score and procure a DBS check as part of the onboarding procedure.
This is a self-employed role and all freelancers will be required to submit invoices and comply with relevant legal obligations.
