We are looking for a CAD/CAM Programmer - Sheet Metal Manufacturing to join our Design team at the Bedford site.
Job Overview
As a CAD/CAM Programmer, you'll play a key role in transforming design concepts into high‑quality, precision‑engineered components. Working closely with designers and engineers, you'll program CNC machinery and prepare sheet metal designs using relevant software, ensuring efficient production through accurate creation of Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Responsibilities
- Create, test, and refine CNC programs using CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and TruTops Boost.
- Collaborate with the design team to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer in a manufacturing or design environment.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and tooling.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
- Knowledge of Laser, guillotine, CNC Punch, and Press Brake operations.
- Able to read and create engineering drawings with a good level of accuracy.
Working hours are Monday to Thursday 9 am to 5 pm and Friday 9 am to 4:30 pm, totaling 34.5 hours per week. The role will initially be based at our Bedford site, but will relocate to our Shefford site within the next two years.
