We are seeking a Commercial Finance Business Partner to join our team on a fixed-term maternity cover contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for a self‑motivated, highly organised finance professional who is keen to make a meaningful impact. We place real value on colleagues who step in to provide temporary support to the business, and this role will be fully embedded as a trusted partner to senior leaders, with clear ownership, influence and visibility from day one.
Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will partner closely with the Divisional Managing Director and other Senior Managers, providing insight, analysis and informed advice to support commercial decision‑making and business performance. This role would particularly suit someone who enjoys variety, problem‑solving and the opportunity to quickly add value in a new environment. This role is predominantly based in Bedford (MK41) but will also require attendance at our Head Office in Shefford (SG17). You must reside within a commutable distance to our offices. This is an office‑based role with the opportunity of hybrid working.
Key Responsibilities
- Analysing data to identify business efficiencies and opportunities for improvement
- Creating and analysing monthly sales and performance reports
- Pricing and margin analysis, including pricing management activities
- Owning and delivering a range of finance‑led projects
- Supporting financial budgeting, forecasting and cost control
- Acting as a collaborative finance partner to stakeholders across the business
About you
- Ideally have experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment, as well as experience with commercial processes such as pricing and margin management.
- Confidently IT literate, ideally with knowledge of X3 ERP and reporting software such as PowerBi.
- Good communicator who can translate data into information and verbalise what this shows to ensure it is understood by the business.
- Comfortable advising senior managers, while working collaboratively with others across the business and at all levels.
- ACCA or CIMA qualification and previous experience in a business partner role are valued.
