The Role
Are you looking for a cutting-edge role in the renewables sector, where you will help deliver our purpose of building a bright future? We are a fast-growing global renewables power producer looking for an Cloud Data Engineer to help us drive the implementation and evolution of Sonnedix\’s data ecosystem.
Reporting to the Data Platform Lead, the Cloud Data Engineer will support the development of the company\’s Data Platform. Leveraging cloud and big data expertise, the Cloud Engineer will build a compelling developer experience to facilitate the integration of data across the company\’s technologies. The Cloud Data Engineer will join a small but growing team of engineers, aiming to continuously develop and improve frameworks for our cloud platforms, establishing and reviewing key governance. The Cloud Data Engineer will be comfortable taking the lead in projects, working closely with the Data Platform Lead to set up systems and tools for our Data Engineers.

Key Competencies
• Proficiency in modern cloud frameworks (e.g. IaC, CI/CD, devops cycle) and technologies (e.g. AWS, Terraform, Github actions, Snowflake, Docker/ECR, Kubernetes/EKS, Airflow/MWAA)
• Experience in defining, building and maintaining tools and frameworks for technical teams (e.g. orchestration, finops, data quality)
• Proven ability to follow and apply best practices in development, system architecture, governance, and cybersecurity
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrated in daily work
• Ability to collaborate effectively in teams of technical and non-technical individuals, and comfortable delivering goals in a rapidly changing environment with dynamic objectives
