Role Description: This is a part-time role based at our Saffron Walden depot, conveniently located within walking distance of the town centre. As a School Bus and Minibus Driver, you will be guaranteed 20 hours per week, primarily supporting our essential home-to-school transport services.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Safely operating our fleet of minibuses and buses to transport students and passengers along designated routes.
- Conducting thorough pre-trip inspections and maintaining accurate trip records.
- Adhering strictly to scheduled routes and timings to ensure a punctual and reliable service.
- Assisting passengers with special needs and providing high-quality customer service.
- Maintaining the highest standards of passenger safety and site security at all times.
Qualifications:
- Licensing: You must possess a valid car licence (Category B) at a minimum.
- Special Incentive: If you currently hold a Private Hire licence, we will help you upgrade to a full PSV Category D licence.
- Training Provided: We provide and pay for all training required to obtain your PSV licence.
- Support for Renewal: If you already hold a PCV licence but your CPC has recently expired, we are happy to help the right candidate with the renewal process.
- Compliance: You must have a clean driving licence with fewer than 6 penalty points.
- Background: A DBS check is essential; our team will assist you with the paperwork and cover the cost.
