Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an AI VFX Editor based in South West London, joining the expanding production team on a groundbreaking feature film running an AI-augmented pipeline. The AI VFX Editor will own the editorial backbone of the show β managing turnovers and conforms, ingesting and organising plates and reference, and maintaining an accurate master timeline as the cut evolves. The role involves:
- Tracking versions into and out of the cut
- Preparing and QC-ing editorial packages for the artist and finishing teams
- Running editorial IO across EDL/AAF/XML and delivery platforms
Working closely with the cutting room, artists, supervisors, and vendors, the AI VFX Editor will integrate AI-generated content cleanly into the edit, reconcile cut changes against shot tracking, and keep versioning and deliveries watertight in a fast-moving environment. Reporting to the AI Production team and AI and VFX Supervisors, the role serves as a bridge between the editorial and VFX/AI pipelines - safeguarding continuity, aligning timelines, and troubleshooting technical and pipeline challenges as they arise.
In-office, 5 days a week. Starting ASAP.
Requirements:
- Feature or episodic VFX editorial experience preferable
- Strong conform and turnover skills β plate ingest, EDL/AAF/XML, cut reconciliation
- Fluent in Premiere Pro and Avid is beneficial; comfortable across editorial finishing workflows
- Solid IO β naming, versioning, deliveries. Experience with platforms such as Aspera preferable
- ShotGrid experience for cut-to-shot tracking
- Comfortable managing Supervisor notes and cut updates through to delivery
- Technically strong mindset, meticulous with continuity and versioning
- AI-native, comfortable integrating generative AI content into the cut
- Comfortable in a fast-moving production environment
