As part of the Global Business Development team for Clinical Trials, the Business Development Specialist (BDS) supports new business development within specific territories/regions, including EMEA & APAC. Partnering with the Global Business Development (GBD) team and Marketing, the BDS creates awareness in key markets and develops effective sales campaigns to convert qualified leads for the GBD team.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the lead generation funnel to achieve annual sales targets for ACM Global Laboratories’ Clinical Trials business, spanning central laboratory and bioanalytical services.
  • Develop and implement sales campaigns to convert prospective clients from awareness to action in supported territories/regions.
  • Target prospective clients including biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and clinical research organizations; points of contact range from clinical operations/management, vendor management, outsourcing, etc.
  • Qualify prospective clients according to the sales process, determining project timelines, key contacts, and funding sources.
  • Convert qualified leads into meetings to meet KPIs; provide warm hand-offs to Business Development Directors for presentations and RFPs.
  • Manage all Requests for Information (RFIs), collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather input, consolidate responses, and ensure timely submissions.
  • Partner with GBD team and marketing to implement campaigns that generate leads and support marketing activities.
  • Organize pre/post trade show and event campaigns to maximize ROI.
  • Leverage lead generation tools such as Salesforce, Zymewire, Biopharma Insight, Sales Navigator, LinkedIn, and publications.
  • Maintain client management documentation in Salesforce and provide regular reports on sales activities and strategies.
  • Participate in sales analysis to develop forecasting models and performance metrics.
  • Represent ACM Global Laboratories at client presentations, bid defenses, and industry events as needed.
  • Support the GBD team during travel and other business activities.
  • Adhere to company sales processes and rules of engagement.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of successful sales experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in telemarketing, tele sales, or marketing support within medical, life sciences, or clinical trial environments.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience managing RFIs, consolidating responses, and ensuring timely, tailored client submissions.
  • Experience with Salesforce preferred.
  • Experience with Zymewire, Sales Navigator, LinkedIn preferred.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours to support clients across EMEA and APAC regions.
