Acland Burghley School is seeking to appoint an outstanding teacher of Media and Film Studies from September 2026. The post would suit an ECT looking to complete their induction in a thriving, happy and supportive school, or a more experienced colleague looking to develop their career in a new setting.
The successful candidate will be a well-qualified, engaging and effective teacher of Media and Film at KS4 and 5 across the ability range. The ability to adapt teaching to meet the full range of needs is essential, as is the ability to teach post-16 students.
Media and Film is a highly successful department within our wider Computing, Media and Social Sciences faculty. GCSE Film Studies and A Level Media Studies are popular options at KS4 and 5. In September, we will be entering our third year delivering a T Level in Broadcast, Media and Production. Students learn in a recently renovated and fully equipped suite of media classrooms, complete with a green wall and recording studio. The T Level offers students exclusive work placements in a range of highly successful London firms.
