Alarm Communications Limited are a leading team of fire protection, commercial security and building management systems specialists, headquartered in Surrey. Our client base consists of prestigious buildings and landmarks, such as high-end hotels, stadia and educational establishments in and around Greater London. We are looking to appoint a new Fire Alarm Maintenance Engineer to cover the London area. Systems vary but are primarily largeāscale networked systems, including Gent, Advanced, Notifier, Kentec, Morley, etc. Most work is completed with a minimum twoāperson team to ensure efficiency and safety. You will work with and actively mentor apprentices and junior engineers within the team.
Responsibilities
- You will work as part of a small and dedicated key account support team, collaborating regularly with fellow engineers and apprentices.
- Sites are longāstanding, prestigious contracts with direct endāuser relationships, requiring professional and exceptional workmanship.
- The engineer will have the time, support and resources to install systems to the highest standards, with extensive training to achieve expert status with our primary systems.
- Reporting to the Contract Manager for that area, the Engineer will liaise regularly with the Senior Engineer, Service Coordinator and Service Manager.
- You will be required to actively mentor apprentices and junior engineers.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years' experience as a Fire Alarm Maintenance Engineer, with familiarity across a range of products and manufacturers.
- Experience maintaining multiāpanel networked fire alarm systems.
- Customerāoriented with the ability to adapt and respond to clients in various situations.
- Strong attention to detail and effective timeāmanagement skills.
- Passion for continual learning and skill development.
- Commitment to maintaining systems to the highest standards.
