We are currently seeking an experienced Work Planner to join a busy Planning & Scheduling team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong repairs and maintenance knowledge, exceptional organisational skills, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service. Working within a fast-paced Direct Maintenance environment, you will support the coordination and scheduling of reactive repairs across a large housing estate portfolio. You will work closely with a team of planners and report directly to the Operations Support Team Leader. The team operates on a shift basis between 7am and 8pm, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule reactive maintenance appointments for Direct Maintenance Technicians
  • Manage technicians’ diaries to maximise productivity and ensure repairs are completed right first time
  • Prioritise emergency and urgent repair works in line with service level agreements
  • Arrange follow-on works and maintain accurate records on internal systems
  • Monitor emails, scheduling queues and ongoing repairs to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Communicate effectively with technicians, supervisors, residents and stakeholders
  • Escalate service issues where required and support continuous improvement across operations

About You

We are looking for someone who can thrive in a constantly changing environment and who is confident managing competing priorities. You will also have:

  • Previous experience within repairs and maintenance planning/scheduling
  • Strong frontline customer service experience
  • Excellent administration and organisational skills
  • Good IT skills, including experience using scheduling systems (DRS/Opti-time experience desirable)
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
