We are seeking an experienced Estates Surveyor to join our property and asset management team. You will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of properties, ensuring effective estate management, compliance with statutory requirements, and delivering high-quality property services across residential and/or commercial assets. This is a key role supporting asset performance, tenant engagement, and long-term property sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of estates, ensuring properties are well maintained and compliant with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Undertake regular estate inspections and identify maintenance, safety, and compliance issues.
- Oversee landlord and tenant matters including lease management, rent reviews, lease renewals, and service charge administration.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation, including fire safety, asbestos, and building safety requirements.
- Manage contractors and consultants, ensuring works are delivered to specification, budget, and quality standards.
- Support asset management strategies and contribute to long-term property planning.
- Handle property-related queries, disputes, and escalations from tenants, leaseholders, and stakeholders.
- Prepare reports, valuations, and recommendations for senior management.
- Monitor service charge expenditure and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Liaise with internal teams including legal, housing, and maintenance departments.
About You
- Degree qualified or equivalent experience in Estate Management, Surveying, or related field.
- Ideally MRICS or working towards RICS chartership.
- Strong knowledge of landlord & tenant law and property legislation.
- Experience in estate management, property compliance, or asset management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to manage multiple properties and priorities effectively.
- Proficient in property management systems and Microsoft Office.
