Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of older and vulnerable residents? We’re seeking an experienced Sheltered Housing Manager to lead enhanced housing management services that empower residents to live independently and safely in their homes.

This is an exciting opportunity for a confident leader with strong housing management experience. You’ll oversee a dedicated team delivering high-quality services across sheltered housing schemes, ensuring residents feel supported, secure and engaged.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and empowerSheltered Housing Officers to deliver an excellent resident-focused service.
  • Ensure sheltered schemes are safe, clean, well-maintained and fully compliant with housing and health & safety standards.
  • Monitor vacancies, minimising revenue loss by ensuring timely lettings and successful onboarding of new residents.
  • Oversee rent arrears management and support financial inclusion for residents.
  • Facilitate and promote social activities and wellbeing initiatives to enhance quality of life.
  • Maintain strong relationships with care providers, partners and emergency responders to ensure seamless support.
  • Implement and monitor resident involvement strategies to continuously improve satisfaction.
  • Manage budgets, reduce costs and deliver value for money.
  • Ensure full compliance with safeguarding, equality, IT security and information governance policies.
  • Participate in planning and response for civil emergencies and service continuity.

About You

  • Experience within supported, independent living, sheltered or social housing environments.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent understanding of housing legislation, health & safety and safeguarding requirements.
  • Ability to manage budgets, performance and service improvement plans.
  • Confident communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A commitment to equality, resident empowerment and delivering exceptional customer service.

Additional Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
  • Flexibility in duties in line with service needs
  • Comfortable using mobile and office-based IT systems
