Redbridge Council is looking for a Senior Social Worker to join our fostering service, taking a lead role in the support and supervision of approved foster carers. This role is ideal for a skilled practitioner who is confident in managing complex cases and contributing to service improvement.

You will support foster carers looking after children with complex needs, offer guidance and oversight on high-risk cases, and co-facilitate training and support groups. This is a key role in maintaining placement stability and ensuring carers receive the supervision they need to thrive.

Requirements:

  • Social Work England registration
  • Minimum 3 years' post-qualifying experience
  • In-depth fostering or children's social care experience
  • Confident decision-making and strong leadership qualities
  • Skilled in delivering high-quality written assessments and analysis
