Medway Council is seeking a Senior Social Worker to join their Early Help and Prevention service within Adult Social Care. This is a key role supporting the delivery of early, person-centred interventions that help Medway residents maintain their independence.

You\’ll lead by example-balancing complex casework with the supervision and development of a small group of social care staff. Using strength-based approaches, you\’ll guide the team in delivering high-quality, holistic assessments and interventions, while also overseeing training, mentoring, and promoting good practice.

Working closely with senior colleagues and Team Managers, you\’ll support service improvement through audit and quality assurance, driving standards and ensuring safeguarding remains at the heart of practice.

About You:

  • You\’re a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.

  • You have strong experience managing complex cases and safeguarding adults.

  • You\’ve supported or supervised others and can lead through coaching and example.

  • You\’re committed to early intervention and strengths-based practice.
