A local authority in Wolverhampton is seeking an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join their Equipment and Adaptations Service, working across both adults and children’s services. This is a varied role focused on delivering high-quality OT assessments and interventions within a social care setting, with a strong emphasis on equipment provision, minor and major adaptations, and promoting independence.

Main Duties:

  • Complete specialist Occupational Therapy assessments for adults and children within a community social care setting
  • Recommend and coordinate provision of equipment, minor works, and major adaptations to support independence and safety
  • Manage a varied caseload, prioritising complex cases and ensuring timely interventions
  • Work collaboratively with housing, social care, and health professionals to deliver joined-up support
  • Provide advice and guidance on moving and handling, risk management, and functional independence
  • Attend office base 1 day per week (Thursday) as part of hybrid working arrangements
  • Ensure all interventions comply with relevant legislation and local authority procedures
