Job Description
We are looking for a compassionate, proactive, and resilient individual to join our outreach team supporting people sleeping rough. As a Rough Sleeper Outreach Officer, you will work on the frontline engaging with individuals experiencing homelessness, building trusting relationships, and helping them access the support and services they need to move away from the streets and into safe accommodation.Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular street outreach sessions, often early mornings or late evenings, to identify and engage with people sleeping rough.
- Build rapport and provide person-centred support to help individuals access housing, healthcare, and welfare services.
- Carry out needs assessments and develop tailored support plans in collaboration with clients and partner agencies.
- Work closely with local authorities, housing providers, health services, and voluntary organisations to coordinate effective support.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to monitoring and reporting outcomes.
- Respond to referrals and public reports of rough sleeping in a timely and sensitive manner
