We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Reablement Occupational Therapist to join a well-structured and dynamic team in Slough Social Services. Due to the nature of the job, our client offers a full-time contract with a manageable caseload and further training opportunities. The initial contract duration is 3-6 months, with potential for extension.
Main Duties for the Reablement Occupational Therapist include:
- Use OT expertise to assess, implement, evaluate, and review reablement and support plans for service users and carers.
- Develop plans that enable service users to achieve maximum independence in their own homes, within the context of asset-based conversations.
- Provide support to clients with physical or mental health problems, learning difficulties, dependencies, or who are elderly and frail.
To be successful, candidates should have:
- Previous experience as an Occupational Therapist in social care.
- Manual handling experience.
- HCPC registration.
- Enhanced DBS/CRB (can be obtained if necessary).
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Occupational Therapist qualification.
