Outreach Teaching Assistant SEMH/SEN - Letchworth Garden City

Ackerman Pierce work closely with County Councils and Schools to provide one to one tutoring for children waiting for school placements. The children we are looking to support have a range of additional complex needs and so we are seeking experienced SEN /HLTA\’s/tutors/teachers. We are currently recruiting for Specialist Outreach educators to provide face to face provision to students who need access to Alternative provision, this could be due to SEN/SEMH so experience in this is required. The role is to start ASAP. Location – Letchworth Garden City Position – Outreach teaching assistant, supporting a tutor Start date – ASAP End date (if applicable) – ongoing Contract type – Temporary 15 hours per week Rate of pay £18 – £23 per hour Hours – Tuition takes place between 12pm and 3pm Monday to Friday We are looking for candidates who are:- Available during school hours up to 30 hours per week. Experienced in delivering differentiated National Curriculum core subjects. Experience teaching young people with a wide range of complex and challenging needs including SEMH/ASC/MLD/SpLD Exceptional behaviour management strategies.
