Location: Lambeth, Hybrid Working

Rate: £280 PD

Contract: 22nd June to July 31st

We’re looking for an experienced and strategic Area SENCo to join on an interim basis and play a pivotal role in improving outcomes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

The role:

  • Champion a joined-up, early intervention approach to SEND across educational settings
  • Provide targeted support to schools to improve teaching, learning, and inclusion for pupils with SEN
  • Help reduce exclusions and improve attendance for vulnerable learners
  • Support schools in building their capacity to meet diverse needs effectively
  • Develop strong partnerships across education, health, and wider services
  • Contribute to strategic planning, data analysis, and performance improvement
  • Lead and facilitate training, CPD, and school-to-school collaboration
  • Represent SEND services at key panels and meetings where required

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience as a SENCo within an educational setting
  • National SENCo Award and a relevant teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE)
  • In-depth knowledge of SEND legislation, policy, and best practice
  • Experience working with senior leaders and multi-agency teams
  • A track record of driving early intervention strategies and improved outcomes
  • Confidence using data to inform decisions and measure impact
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
