Responsibilities
- Lead borough‑wide and area‑based capital works programmes (c. £20m), including fire safety and major refurbishment schemes
- Manage consultants, contractors and in‑house teams to deliver on time, to budget and to a high standard
- Take ownership of financial control, performance management and quality assurance across multiple projects
- Lead resident consultation and manage customer expectations throughout delivery
- Ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, Fire Safety Act and wider H&S duties
- Produce clear reports for senior management, members and forums
Requirements
- Strong background delivering housing capital works, ideally fire safety and high‑rise projects
- Solid knowledge of Building Safety Act, housing legislation and leaseholder consultation
- Proven experience managing large budgets and multi‑disciplinary teams
- Degree in a construction‑related discipline (MRICS / MCIOB desirable)
- Confident communicator who can lead stakeholders and residents with authority
