My client at the London Borough of Tower Hamlets is looking for a Financial Inclusion and Support Officer to join their team to help support an ongoing project in the Council. The Officer must be able to communicate effectively at all levels and be able to work on their own initiative with minimum support and closely with advice agencies, the Neighbourhoods team, and DWP to provide debt advice to support residents.

Provide robust financial advice and support to residents; make arrangements to clear debt owed enabling tenants to have better control over their finances. Providing support and sensitively persuade tenants to overcome barriers that prevent them from seeking help and to look at various available options preventing rent loss and reduced indebtedness to the THH.

To identify tenants in financial difficulty and take initiative to offer a range of financial advice options. Demonstrating knowledge and skills to sensitively interview and assess tenants' complex needs. Fact-finding and identifying where a resident may require additional support on financial issues, vulnerabilities, and employment.
