Interim Autism Advisory Teacher
Location: Lambeth, Hybrid Working
Contract: 18th May to 31st July
Rate: £280 PD
We’re seeking an experienced and passionate Autism Advisory Teacher to take on a key interim leadership role, supporting schools, families, and services to deliver high-quality, inclusive education for autistic pupils.
The role:
- Lead and manage an autism advisory service, overseeing delivery and team coordination
- Provide expert guidance to schools on effective autism strategies and inclusive practice
- Support the development of neurodiversity-affirming approaches across educational settings
- Deliver high-quality training and CPD for school staff and parents
- Contribute to statutory processes, including assessment panels and tribunals
- Work directly with schools, modelling interventions and supporting staff development
- Build strong partnerships with families, schools, and multi-agency professionals
- Oversee service evaluation, ensuring continuous improvement and impact
What you’ll bring:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with substantial experience in SEND
- Deep understanding of autism and the diagnostic process
- Proven experience supporting neurodivergent children and young people
