Job Description

My client at the London Borough of Redbridge is looking for an Allocation & Lettings Officer to join their team to help support an ongoing project in the Council. The Officer must be able to carry out Part 6 and 7 assessments within the Housing Act guidelines. Reporting to the Allocations Manager, the Officer will be supported through a comfortable workload.

The Allocations Officer will be able to join the team hitting the ground running using their knowledge of the Housing legislation and Housing Act 2004. The Manager is looking to welcome an experienced Officer to join a team of knowledgeable peers.

  • Knowledge of Part 6 and 7 of the Housing Act 2004
  • Responsible for the allocation process through to the verification of the properties
  • Demonstrate experience of working in a similar environment
  • Allocating accommodation to households in line with Allocation Schemes and Local Lettings Plans
  • Responsible for allocating properties for clients on the Housing Register waiting list
