Norfolk County Council is seeking to expand their team with a dedicated Adults Locality Social Worker. This role offers a competitive salary, flexible working arrangements, and opportunities for training and development. The initial contract is for 3-6 months with a possibility of extension based on performance and internal circumstances.
Adults Locality Social Worker responsibilities include:
- Carrying out initial safeguarding enquiries and s42 enquiries
- Providing advice to the public, partner agencies, and regulated care providers regarding safeguarding concerns
- Completing home visits, safeguarding assessments, and reports
- Liaising with other professionals
- Applying knowledge of relevant legislation
- Managing cases effectively
- Working with individuals at risk and those who have caused harm
- Attending multidisciplinary meetings
- Referring clients to relevant support agencies
Minimum Requirements / Experience:
- Post-qualifying experience as an Adults Locality Social Worker
- HCPC registration
- At least 3 years of post-qualifying experience within UK social care
- Enhanced DBS/CRB (can be arranged by us)
- Legal right to work in the UK
