Senior Social Worker – UASC (Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children) Are you an Advanced Practitioner with experience working within a UASC team? London Borough of Lambeth are looking to expand their current team with a dedicated Social Worker looking for an opportunity to join a well-structured and organised team. As well as joining a supportive team our client also offers a competitive salary, opportunities for training to enhance your skills and potential progression within your team. This UASC role will be for an initial 3-6 months with potential for extension subject to internal circumstance and your performance. Responsibilities include: The Social Worker will be required to support Looked After Children who are Unaccompanied in the UK. They will be required to support children and young people with all relevant aspects of their wellbeing, in line with Looked After Children procedures. Suitably experienced social worker required to support social workers Hold a complex case load of up to 5 complex children and be confident in their decision making Required to deputise for the team manager as appropriate To support team with duty tasks, undertaking complex case work, case consultation and managing group supervision Attend and chair meetings, prepare reports to a good standard for various audiences, quality assure pieces of work within the team Management of duty rota and duty tasks Required to attend the office 1-2 days per week.
