The Role
- Provide specialist ecological advice on planning applications.
- Review ecological surveys, mitigation strategies and Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) submissions.
- Advise planning officers, developers and key stakeholders on ecological matters.
- Ensure developments comply with environmental legislation and planning policy.
- Promote biodiversity enhancement through the planning process.
About You
- Previous experience working as an Ecologist or Natural Environment Officer within a local authority.
- Proven experience commenting on planning applications.
- Strong knowledge of ecology, wildlife legislation and planning policy.
- Able to manage a varied caseload and communicate confidently with a range of stakeholders.
