Overview: Join a dynamic team of Senior Practitioners in Surrey MASH, where you will play a crucial role in safeguarding children and families. As a Senior Social Worker, you\’ll provide expert guidance, conduct assessments, and collaborate with partner agencies to ensure effective service delivery. Key Responsibilities: Work collaboratively with a team of Senior Practitioners and Triage Officers, offering guidance, support, and supervision to enhance service delivery within the MASH. Conduct thorough assessments of children and families, analyzing information to determine risk levels and appropriate interventions. Collaborate with partner agencies to gather and share information, ensuring a coordinated approach to safeguarding. Make informed decisions regarding immediate protection and intervention, prioritizing the safety and well-being of children. Provide expert advice on complex cases, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements and best practice. Maintain accurate records of assessments, interventions, and case progress, in compliance with data protection policies. Support the development of policies, procedures, and training programs to enhance the effectiveness of the MASH team.Requirements: Recognized social work qualification and registration with relevant professional body. Extensive experience in children\’s services, particularly in safeguarding and child protection. Sound knowledge of legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective relationships with colleagues, agencies, and families. Ability to work under pressure, prioritizing workload to ensure timely service delivery.
