Join the Housing Supply Team and play a key role in securing high-quality accommodation for residents in need. As a Housing Supply Officer, you'll be at the forefront of increasing the supply of Temporary Accommodation (TA) and Private Rented Sector (PRS) housing to meet demand and ensure compliance with local policies and procedures. Your work will directly support the Council in fulfilling its statutory homelessness duties while delivering sustainable, practical housing solutions.
What You'll Be Doing
- Working proactively with the market to increase the supply of TA and PRS accommodation.
- Securing Private Rented Sector properties on commercially sustainable terms for use by Enfield households.
- Procuring Private Leased Annexes (PLA) and Private Sector Leased (PSL) properties for temporary use.
- Converting existing leases onto new leasing schemes and managing timely, effective handbacks.
- Supporting households to move on from emergency and temporary accommodation into secure PRS homes.
- Building and managing strong relationships with landlords on behalf of Enfield Let (Housing Gateway) and the Council.
- Providing clear advice and guidance to landlords to build trust and confidence in working with the Council.
- Monitoring service delivery, addressing issues and complaints, and implementing solutions swiftly and effectively.
