About the role
We are seeking a SEND Project Lead to support and deliver key improvement projects across SEND and children’s services. You will lead and coordinate projects that improve outcomes for children, young people and families, ensuring national reforms and local priorities are implemented in a practical, sustainable way.
Key responsibilities
- Lead SEND and children’s services improvement projects from planning through to delivery
- Monitor progress, risks and outcomes, providing clear reports and updates
- Coordinate activity linked to SEND funding and intervention programmes
- Support partnership self-evaluation, audits and maturity assessments
- Work closely with families, professionals and partner organisations
- Use data and insight to track impact and inform decision-making
- Support teams to embed improvements into everyday practice
What we’re looking for
- Experience leading projects within SEND, children’s services or social care
- A strong understanding of safeguarding, performance and quality standards
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and multi-agency partners
- Excellent organisation, communication and reporting skills
- A solution-focused approach and commitment to improving outcomes for families
- Project management qualifications or formal training are desirable but not essential if you have relevant experience.
