About the Role

We are looking for an organised and motivated Inclusion Panels Officer to support the effective delivery of key education and inclusion services. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that vulnerable children and young people receive timely and fair access to education, while supporting schools, families and professionals through structured panel and legal processes.

You will work within a busy inclusion team, supporting processes such as fair access panels, exclusion panels and attendance panels, ensuring accurate data, high-quality administration and strong communication across multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and support fair access, exclusion and attendance panels
  • Liaise with schools, families and professionals regarding admissions, exclusions and attendance
  • Respond to service enquiries accurately and within agreed timescales
  • Support the issuing and recording of penalty notices
  • Collect and prepare documentation for legal and statutory processes
  • Maintain and update case management systems and databases
  • Monitor data quality, identify discrepancies and ensure compliance with procedures
  • Produce accurate reports and statistics to support service planning
  • Support wider inclusion and education services as required

About You

You will have:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Experience in administration, casework or data processing
  • The ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Confident communication skills with professionals and families
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • A calm, solution-focused approach when dealing with complex or emotional situations

Desirable:

  • Experience working within education, children’s services or a local authority
  • Experience using education or case management systems (e.g. Synergy)
