We are seeking a dynamic Head of Curriculum & Quality – Vocational and Creative to lead and manage a team of committed educators and support staff within a thriving department.
In this pivotal role, you will oversee a diverse range of programmes across the vocational and creative curriculum, ensuring alignment with key performance indicators and strategic priorities. Your leadership will be key in driving quality improvement, growth, and the overall development of the curriculum offer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, delivery, and sustainability of a high-quality, responsive vocational and creative curriculum.
- Manage and support a team of Tutors, Assessors, and IQAs, including sessional staff, to ensure consistently excellent learner experiences.
- Ensure robust quality assurance and continuous improvement across all curriculum areas.
- Drive forward departmental growth and innovation in line with strategic objectives.
- Establish and build partnerships with employers, community organisations, and stakeholders to enhance curriculum relevance and reach.
- Identify opportunities for collaborative initiatives that enhance income generation, reduce costs, and secure additional funding.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven leadership experience in a curriculum and quality role within vocational and/or creative education.
- Strong track record of delivering quality improvement and curriculum development.
- Ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams effectively.
- Excellent communication and partnership-building skills.
- Knowledge of relevant quality assurance frameworks and funding mechanisms.
