Interim Education Place Planning Officer West Berkshire (Hybrid Working) 18.5 hours per week 30 per hour (Umbrella) An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Education Place Planning Officer to join a busy Place Planning team on an interim basis.
This role will play a key part in ensuring education infrastructure keeps pace with housing growth, with a focus on strategic development and the delivery of sufficient school places.
The Role Working within the Place Planning function, you will lead on education place planning activities, developing robust evidence to support school place requirements, negotiating developer contributions and helping to ensure education infrastructure is delivered at the right time to meet demand.
Key responsibilities include: Leading education place planning for strategic housing developments.
Negotiating education mitigation and Section 106 developer contributions.
Developing and maintaining pupil forecasts, capacity assessments and evidence bases.
Preparing reports, briefings and business cases for senior leaders and elected Members.
Managing risks relating to school place sufficiency, funding and infrastructure delivery.
Representing the organisation at meetings with developers, schools and external partners.
Supporting continuous improvement in education place planning and infrastructure delivery.
