We're looking for an experienced Housing Income Manager to join a forward-thinking housing organisation during an exciting period of transformation. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a dedicated income team, influence service improvements, and make a real impact on residents and communities.
As Housing Income Manager, you'll lead a team of 5–10 Income Officers responsible for managing a portfolio of up to 20,000 customer accounts and arrears exceeding £8 million. You'll take ownership of performance, drive innovative approaches to income recovery, and work collaboratively across departments to ensure cases progress efficiently from early intervention through to resolution.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing income recovery team
- Manage tenancy arrears from prevention and early intervention through to legal enforcement
- Oversee high-value and complex arrears cases, ensuring timely resolutions
- Use data and performance insights to improve outcomes and drive service delivery
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners
- Contribute to service transformation, continuous improvement and new ways of working
To be successful, you'll have:
- Proven experience managing housing income and arrears recovery services
- Strong leadership skills with experience developing and motivating teams
- Sound knowledge of Housing Law, Welfare Reform and legal recovery processes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
