Bristol City Council are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Principle Occupational Therapist to join a well-structured and dynamic team. The client offers a full time or part time contract with an opportunity to work from home, a fair and manageable caseload and further training in your portfolio. The vacancy will be for an initial 3 - 6 months with potential for extension.
Main Duties for the Principle Occupational Therapist include:
- Provide strategic oversight of Occupational Therapy, Carers, and Workforce Development.
- Support the wider leadership team in achieving operational priorities.
- Champion high standards of OT practice across adult and children’s services.
- Offer expert leadership and guidance to OT professionals, social care practitioners, and partners.
- Contribute to the strategic leadership of services, helping to build a cohesive, high-performing, and culturally responsive workforce.
- Oversight of Workforce Development Team.
- Promote strengths-based, person-centred approaches that empower individuals and support independence.
To Be Successful:
- Demonstrable experience in social care OT, including management or supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong project management skills.
- The ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
- HCPC Registration.
- Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you).
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Occupational Therapist Qualification.
