Bristol City Council are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Principle Occupational Therapist to join a well-structured and dynamic team. The client offers a full time or part time contract with an opportunity to work from home, a fair and manageable caseload and further training in your portfolio. The vacancy will be for an initial 3 - 6 months with potential for extension.

Main Duties for the Principle Occupational Therapist include:

  • Provide strategic oversight of Occupational Therapy, Carers, and Workforce Development.
  • Support the wider leadership team in achieving operational priorities.
  • Champion high standards of OT practice across adult and children’s services.
  • Offer expert leadership and guidance to OT professionals, social care practitioners, and partners.
  • Contribute to the strategic leadership of services, helping to build a cohesive, high-performing, and culturally responsive workforce.
  • Oversight of Workforce Development Team.
  • Promote strengths-based, person-centred approaches that empower individuals and support independence.

To Be Successful:

  • Demonstrable experience in social care OT, including management or supervisory responsibilities.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • The ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
  • HCPC Registration.
  • Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you).
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Occupational Therapist Qualification.
