Class 1 Tramper

We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Class 1 Tramper to join our client\’s dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods across various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery.

Trunking work, 1-2 drops per day and collection.
6:00 AM start Mondays at depot, Manchester M11.
This is general haulage, you will be required to strap loads. You will be operating a Curtain Sider lorry.
You will sleep in the lorry all week – This is Monday to Friday tramping in a class 1 vehicle.
EXTRA: £25.00 PER NIGHT AWAY
£10.00 MEAL ALLOWANCE PER DAY
Responsibilities
* Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, for long-distance transportation of goods.
* Conduct pre-journey vehicle checks to ensure compliance with road safety regulations.
* Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork as required.
* Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times while considering traffic and weather conditions.
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
* Adhere to driving regulations and company policies at all times.
Requirements
* Valid HGV Class 1 driving licence with no more than 6 points or endorsements (No TT99, no DR10, no IN10 allowed).
* Proven experience in commercial driving in a class 1 arctic
* Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in delivery driving.
* Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
* Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
* Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods. xiskglj
