An established engineering and manufacturing business is seeking a

Quality Manager to lead quality activity within a manufacturing facility.

This is a hands-on leadership role, suited to someone who can help build and embed quality systems, support production readiness, and develop a capable quality team across inspection, quality engineering and technical quality functions.

The environment is highly regulated, with a strong focus on traceability, right-first-time manufacturing, audit readiness and continuous improvement.

Experience from sectors such as aerospace, defence, automotive, nuclear, precision engineering or other regulated manufacturing environments would be highly relevant.

Key responsibilities will include

  • Leading day-to-day QA/QC activity across the facility.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of the Quality Management System.
  • Managing quality documentation, inspection controls, traceability and lifetime records.
  • Leading NCR, root cause, CAPA and continuous improvement activity.
  • Supporting audits, customer requirements and regulatory compliance.
  • Coaching and developing a growing quality team.
  • Working closely with operations, engineering, projects and supply chain to embed quality standards on the shop floor.

The successful candidate will bring

  • Experience in a Quality Manager, Senior Quality Engineer or quality leadership role.
  • A background in regulated or high-integrity manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and robust QMS environments.
  • Experience with tools such as FMEA, SPC, 8D, Lean Six Sigma or similar.
  • A practical, visible and proactive leadership style.
