ACJ Search are partnering with a defence manufacturer based in Wolverhampton who are actively recruiting for a Production Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the site Head of Manufacturing, this role will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the production areas.

The key objectives of the role are as follows:

  • Ensure project needs are met for allocation of resource and progress of activity
  • Drive a continuous improvement culture throughout the organization
  • Support the Head of Manufacturing in the day to day running of the production areas
  • Put quality at the heart of the production processes and ensure that all systems are strictly adhered to
  • Coach, mentor and lead the production team
  • Take accountability for the delivery of the weekly production plan

We are keen to speak with people who can demonstrate a strong production management background aligned with the following skills and experience:

  • A strong knowledge of metal fabrication and welding
  • Proven track record in people management
  • Understanding of lean principles and a track record of implementation

This is an on-site role based in Wolverhampton.
