As a Systems & Data Analyst, you'll help our teams get the right information at the right time, support them in using our systems confidently, and champion improvements that make everyday tasks easier and smarter. You'll be hands-on with everything from system configuration to data reporting, all while helping us build a stronger, more connected digital foundation for the future.
Manager Jane says: 'It's an opportunity to join our new Systems and Business Improvement Team, focused on proactive change and reducing manual processes for our operational teams while improving the customer experience. We support data capture, system maintenance, and continuous improvement across our workstreams, reporting, and data visualisation. Following a discovery phase reviewing our technical architecture and ways of working, we're beginning a major business transformation for our Housing and Assets teams. We need someone who can quickly integrate, act as the bridge between business needs and technical configuration and help implement newly designed processes. We also aim to become a more data-driven organisation, making greater use of Power BI and dashboards. This is a chance to bring your ideas, energy, and technical expertise to a dynamic, forward-thinking team.'
Responsibilities- Support and develop Acis Group's core IT business systems, primarily housing, tenancy and property management, CRM, asset and repairs systems, ensuring they are used efficiently, correctly and remain up-to-date.
- Manage and maintain security access levels within information systems, ensuring appropriate access for users.
- Configure, design and improve workflow processes and case-management within systems as part of the IT team.
- Train and enable staff on system use and processes, ensuring they have the skills to deliver high-standard service.
- Enhance system quality and support improvement projects, identifying solutions to provide a high level of service to the business.
- Maintain Acis Group's Knowledge Information Management platform and create Power BI analytics dashboards.
- Assist in developing the data architecture for the central reporting repository and future Data Warehouse/Data Lake.
- Keep system users updated on relevant changes and ensure a consistent user experience.
- Coordinate interface and data exchanges between core systems.
- Monitor system integration, test business/web applications, and report technical issues to providers.
- Collaborate with providers and partners on system improvements and problem resolution.
- Test software releases and manage comprehensive test plans and technical documentation for user acceptance testing.
- Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance, including GDPR and data protection obligations.
- Share expertise within the IT Services team to promote knowledge and understanding of system support.
- Help deliver the approved IT strategy aligning with business and customer needs.
- Work flexibly across various office locations and may undertake additional duties as required.
- Degree level education or equivalent experience in IT systems and data work.
- Substantial experience supporting both SaaS and client-based business systems, databases, and analytics reporting.
- Experience delivering systems training in formal or informal settings.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and relationship-building skills across a range of audiences.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills for diverse audiences.
- Data analytical and reporting skills with high attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to provide excellent face-to-face customer service to non-expert IT users.
- Experience creating technical and process documentation.
- Practical knowledge of:
- Data manipulation, batch processing and case-flow management
- Power BI, Power Automate, SQL, Microsoft Fabric, ETL/ELT pipelines
- Housing management or large database system management
- MS Windows Server and Active Directory
- MS Excel and Office suite
- Specific systems/data analysis experience and/or related qualification.
- Ability to support, train and motivate colleagues.
- Experience with social housing management systems or CRM.
- Good knowledge of the social housing sector.
- Technical knowledge of Power BI, Power Automate, SQL, server OS, Active Directory, web technologies and APIs.
- Understanding of UI/UX design for enterprise software and web applications.
- Experience building strong supplier/vendor relationships.
- Understanding of GDPR and cyber-security.
- Excellent written and verbal communication for both technical and non-technical personnel.
