You'll be at the heart of our bustling café, making each visitor feel welcome and valued.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers, take orders and create memorable experiences that keep people coming back
  • Prepare fresh food and barista-quality coffee (full training provided)
  • Handle transactions accurately using cash registers and payment systems
  • Maintain spotless standards by cleaning surfaces, equipment and café areas
  • Work with the Café Supervisor and Campus Facilities Coordinator to deliver outstanding service
  • Support café setup and conferencing events
  • Keep stock levels topped up and ready for customers

Qualifications

  • Uphold high hygiene and health & safety standards
  • Experience working in a food environment
  • Level 2 Food Safety qualification or willingness to gain this quickly
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High standards of personal hygiene and appearance
  • Sharp attention to detail and excellent problem‑solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
