We're looking for people to join our Board across a range of roles, including Board Member, Committee Chair and Independent Committee Member. We welcome a mix of skills and lived experience to help shape our direction. We need you! If you already have bags of experience, then we want to hear from you!
- Chair of our Finance and Development Committee: You'll bring strong financial and commercial expertise, with the ability to interpret complex reports, scrutinise risk and performance, and provide constructive strategic challenge to support sustainable growth and investment decisions. You'll have Board experience to bring to the role.
- Chair of our Operations Committee: You'll bring strong operational leadership with the ability to oversee service performance, customer outcomes and compliance, interrogate operational risk and assurance, and provide constructive challenge to drive continuous improvement and a positive culture. You'll have Board experience to bring to the role.
- Multiple Board member and ICM roles: For our board and ICM roles, we are ideally looking for individuals who have skills and experience in any of the following areas:
- SEND provision experience
- Further Education provision
- Strategic Asset Management/Net Zero Carbon
- Audit & Risk
- Tenant or Customer experience in any of our industries, with the ability to provide genuine tenant insight
- Housing Services experience gained either as a social housing resident or through delivery at a senior level of delivering excellent housing services to tenants
- Customer Services, specifically in delivering exceptional outcomes for our Customers
- New homes/property development
- Student sector
- Health & Wellbeing sectors
- Investment and Treasury
If you are living in one of our properties then you can also make a difference for us by either joining our Board as our Tenant Representative, or by joining one of our committees as an Independent Representative. You will use your unique experience and insight as one of our customers to help us be even better at what we do.

What we will give you: Whether you join us as a Board Member, as our Tenant Representative, or as an Independent Representative, we will give you:

- An iPad so that you can access all your board or committee papers, and any other documentation that we need you to have to carry out your role
- Remuneration and reimbursement of reasonable expenses, in accordance with your Agreement for Services and our Board Member Expenses Policy
- Training and support provided for all roles, including our ICM positions if this is your first role
What you will give us in return: Your time and your commitment. You will be suitably prepared for all your meetings, comfortable reading reports and confident enough to share your views with us (we don't bite)! We have six board meetings a year (Monday mornings and a mix of in person and virtual). We also ask that you give enough time in the week before the meeting to read the reports so that you are prepared for the meeting. We also have two board strategy events per year. The main event is usually in November and is an overnight stay (Friday morning to Saturday lunchtime) and our other event is in May for a full day. If you are joining one of our committees as an Independent Representative then the committees meet quarterly, and we would still love for you to join us at our two strategy events too.
