This role is all about being Acis Group’s resident newshound – a collector of stories who is curious, proactive and has a knack for finding news. The successful candidate will spend time building relationships with colleagues, customers and partners to identify stories that showcase our people, services and impact. From conducting interviews and writing case studies to taking photographs, filming video content and creating engaging social media posts, this role will play a key part in amplifying the Acis story. No two days will be the same. One day you could be interviewing a customer whose life has been transformed through our services, and the next you could be capturing video content at one of our sites, writing a news story or planning content for multiple social media channels. You will be joining our newly formed, friendly neighbourhood Communications and Marketing Team who can't wait to meet you!
As our Communications Specialist, a typical day might include:
- Proactively seeking out and developing news stories from across Acis Group
- Building strong relationships with colleagues, customers and stakeholders to identify compelling content opportunities
- Conducting interviews and gathering information for news stories, features, case studies and campaigns
- Writing engaging and audience-focused content for internal and external communications channels
- Capturing high-quality photographs and video content to support storytelling activities
- Creating and scheduling content across Acis Group's social media channels and brands
- Supporting the planning and delivery of social media campaigns and communications projects
- Producing customer success stories and case studies that demonstrate the impact of Acis Group's work
- Ensuring all communications reflect Acis Group's values, brand standards and tone of voice
- Maintaining an organised library of photography, video and case-study materials
- Supporting the wider Communications and Marketing team with events, campaigns and corporate communications activity
Some of the experience/skills we need to consider you:
- Experience in a communications, PR, journalism, or content creation roles
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to adapt content for different audiences and channels
- Strong interviewing and relationship-building skills
- Ability to identify and develop engaging stories from a range of sources
- Experience creating content for social media platforms
- Experience taking photographs and capturing video content using professional equipment or mobile devices
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Creative, proactive and self-motivated approach
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Acis Group locations
