About Us
Our product is all about collaboration and innovation. So are our people. We’re a small team, but we’ve got a big vision: to build a brand-new infrastructure for operational risk management. It’s not easy. We’re redefining the way some of the world’s biggest financial services companies and banks work with data. There are a lot of challenges – but a lot of opportunities to think and act creatively, too.
Backed by banks (JP Morgan, Citi, Barclays, Lloyds, BNP) and ratings agencies, Acin helps banks objectively manage their risk control landscape. Based on a network of peers, Acin’s data protocols connect a bank’s risk control data across their firm and industry leading to greater cost savings, and creating huge efficiency savings across the bank both in front and back-office operations.
The role
Acin has established a set of network-driven Non-Financial Risk Management (NFRM) controls. These controls have been constructed using an in-house data technical standard. This project will both match the control data and build new controls.
Main duties
Utilising its calibration methodology, Acin provides its clients with an understanding of how their control data compares with the Acin network-driven set of controls. This calibration is achieved through the analysis and assessment of each client control and identifying where and how they match with Acin’s controls. We utilise in-house systems and LLM technology to suggest matches, with each match being subject matter expert (SME) curated before finalisation.
This project also includes contributing to the build of controls for other areas of financial services. The control build process leverages another bespoke in-house system to derive, using LLM, new Acin controls from client data. Risk & Control consultants are required to ensure the LLM has made appropriate connections between data and to provide additional suggestions or other alterations.
Requirements
5+ years’ experience in a risk and control role (e.g. Business Risk & Control Officer, Supervisor).
Ability to work in a fast-paced FinTech environment.
Strong organisational skills, with impeccable attention to detail and proven ability to manage projects with time-pressured deliverables.
Ability to demonstrate a strong knowledge of risks and controls.
Highly knowledgeable on the key risks faced by trading businesses, e.g. Market Manipulation, Unauthorised Trading, Resilience.
Good understanding of NFRM core processes e.g. RCSA, Incident management, Read Across / Lessons Learned.
Acin is an equal opportunity employer. We value a diverse workforce and an inclusive culture. We encourage applications from all qualified individuals without regard to race, sex, colour, religion, age, national origin, marital status, disability, veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation and gender identity or expression.
